9/11 – 10 year anniversary

These two photos were taken a couple hours back, on September 11 2011…

One World Trade Center is a building currently under construction in lower Manhattan. It was lit up in red, white and blue for 9/11. Once this building is completed it will be the tallest in the western hemisphere.

This abstract shot is of the “Tribute in Light” art installation. Two beams, made up of 88 searchlights, have pointed up to the sky to symbolize the two fallen buildings every 9/11 since 2002.

Great shots. I spent the whole night from 9/11-9/12 walking around Brooklyn and Lower Manhattan trying to get some good shots of the lights. The weather wasn’t very cooperative, but I got a few. Nicely done.
