Gapstow Bridge, Central Park

The Gapstow Bridge crosses The Pond in Central Park. This bridge was first created as a wooden structure in 1874, and remade in its current stone form in 1896. The stone used to create the bridge was Manhattan schist, a local stone. This photo was merged with Photomatix and touched up in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.
