The Presbytère, New Orleans

This black and white HDR focuses on Jackson Square, New Orleans, and in particular “The Presbytere”. This building was designed in 1791 to match the Town Hall which sits elsewhere in the square. The second floor was not completed for another 22 years. It was given National Landmark Status in 1970. The cupola (dome like structure) on top of  “The Presbytere”, visible in the top left corner, was destroyed during a hurricane in 1915 and finally replaced in 2oo5, 90 years later!
