Woolworth Building

The Woolworth Building, a National Historic Landmark, is one of the oldest skyscrapers in New York City. Construction was completed in April 1913, and for roughly seventeen years it was the tallest building in the world. The building was commisioned by Frank Woolworth, who paid the $13.5 million dollar construction cost in cash. In the TV series Ugly Betty the outside of the Woolworth is used as the headquarters of Mode magazine.
